So, for Alexander's birthday, we were asked to make Minion cupcakes... the day of his birthday! Not a week before. (This child loves to challenge mommy and I am not as talented as he thinks I am.) I still can't believe he waited until the DAY OF to ask. Now, in all reality, I still think this was WAY easier than trying to figure out how to make a Rick Dicker cake, which was what I THOUGHT I was making up until that day because he spent a month begging for it. The did come out kinda cute and we added candy mustaches because we know how Alex adores his daddy's mustache.

We used banana flavor drams, so it ended up being a very bouncy chocolate, banana flavored cupcake with banana creme flavored Swiss Buttercream. It's funny, just when we think, "I have never had more fun being a mom than right now" my kids ask me to try something crazy and new with them.
After the cupcakes, Alan had come to me and Amy asking if we would help him remove his baby tooth as it was annoying him and literally on it's last day. As you can see, he's a terrible scaredy cat when it comes to removing his baby teeth and always has been. He surely wants it done, but, we're obviously trying to steal his soul every time. Even as I edited this video, he came to me with ANOTHER loose baby tooth and whined and cried until I stopped everything and played let's get this tooth out for 30 minutes while Alan shrieks in terror every time I point at his mouth. It came out, and he survived this as well. (All this from a kid who asked to have his FIRST baby tooth pulled by a motor scooter, go figure.
I wish I could say that Andrew's silly walk was in any way, shape or form taught or instructed by me. In fact, I can't take credit for anything more than allowing them all to watch 'Monty Python'In fact, it's rather like an infection around here.
I can't seem to go anywhere without someone breaking out in song, clacking rocks together and pretending to be riding a horse or pulling their best silly walks. But, it beats throwing fits in public like some other kids in the universe (you stronger patience than I if your kids do this.)
But, I had NO idea how to make Minion cupcakes, ran out of vanilla and couldn't find our favorite chocolate cupcake recipe ANYWHERE! (When I find it, I'll share it here.) Do you have any idea how frustrating that is?! Overall, he was happy and thrilled that I tried. Ultimately, I can't say it was a total failure though. He was super stoked about the puppets and loved the Peppa Pig book so I guess we did alright.
I was super stoked to find the organic corn tortillas at the commissary, especially the green chili kind because the non-organic just mess up our tummys. I can't explain it. Most processed corn products don't affect me as much as tortillas do. I am still up in the air as to if I like that guacamole or not though. WHY do avocados have to cost so dang much?!
I placed a link in the video for the Kiwi's channel and you'll find it in the information tab while watching the cooking lesson segment at the end of the video. The reason you don't see me doing much is that before I remembered to vlog, I was the first one at that station so I cut everything up and got it started. Since I know how to cook more Korean dishes than the average American, I figured I'd let my partner get her hands dirty.
Now, this video has made me incredibly hungry and I have to go check what's for breakfast. Don't forget to like, comment and subscribe to our channel!
