Ok, so it's "Geek Week" on Youtube. While I can't promise we will/won't do a video I can share what we've been up to lately! We figured out that if you choose "Star Wars" on Pandora... all SORTS of cool music comes with it! So, we listened to orchestrations from Star Wars, Star Trek, Iron Man, The Lord of the Rings, Sherlock Holmes, Tron etc. while driving to our recent local anime convention (which feels so much cooler when you're NOT stuck at a light lol.)

Today, we're adding it to our list of listen to's whilst making our own bread pudding recipe. It's literally in the oven right now... So pump up the nerd jams and get your hustle on in the kitchen.

Preheat the oven to 350 (why not?)
About 8-10 pieces of bread cubed (we used the ends and last of the loaf from yesterdays daily bread)
2 cups of milk
2 Tbl lemon juice
1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
1/2 cup Torani hazelnut syrup
1/4 cup homemade vanilla syrup

(Heat all of the above in a small saucepan until butter melts. Remove from heat and add syrups. Then pour it over bread until it's all soaked in)

4 well beaten eggs
about a tsp of cinnamon
about a 1/2 tsp of nutmeg
about 1/4 tsp of clove
(Stir the heck out of the bread cause ours was mushy and it wouldn't be right if yours looks beautiful...add in the milk mixture until it's even in consistency)

Pour in a casserole dish that is big enough to handle the mess you just made...
Bake for... 50min

Don't care to make a "real" sauce?
Mix 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk with 3 Tbl of hazelnut syrup and warm it up on the stove on low heat... stir so it doesn't burn... yum!
